What is a death certificate?

A death certificate is a registry certificate, registrating the person’s death. The person’s death should be reported within 3 days after the death at the latest. The people entitled to report the death, in order:

 

1.The spouse or children of the deceased,
2.The closest relatives of the deceased,
3.The people living in the house, in which the death occurred,
4.people who were present when the death occurred or have been convinced about it evidently,
5.The administrator of the house, in which the death occurred.
 

If the death ocurred in a hospital or other institution, the hospital or the institution is obliged to report the death.

The person reporting the death is also obliged to submit the death card and the ID of the deceased to the registry. The head of the registry issues three copies of the abridged death certificate to the person reporting death, free of charge.

The death certificates are a part of the registry book and they are kept in the registry or in the Public Record Office. We can only receive the copy of the death certificate, which is colloquially called “death certificate”.
